All Aboard The 'Giannis Line': Bus Route Named For Buck's B-Day
A new Milwaukee bus route is named after Milwaukee Bucks player Giannis Antetokounmpo for his birthday.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A recently-added Milwaukee bus line will share its number and name with Milwaukee Bucks player and NBA Champion Giannis Antetokounmpo for his 27th birthday Monday, the Milwaukee County Transit System announced.
Route 34 went into service Sunday, the transit system said. The new route travels between N. 92nd Street and W. Grantosa Drive, and N. 5th Street and W. Clybourn Street.
The Giannis line operates 25-30 minutes each day and connects to dozens of other bus lines across Milwaukee County, the transit system said.

The new line is a part of the transit system's redesign project, MCTS NEXT, the transit system said. It will provide new travel and connection opportunities for residents, workers and students, and will align with the county's vision to advance racial equity in Milwaukee.
"To celebrate all [Antetokounmpo] has done for the Bucks and our community, we've named an honorary route after him - the Giannis Line!" the transit system said in a tweet. "Happy birthday, Giannis!"
