Authorities Identify 5 Who Died In Milwaukee Shooting
Authorities said four of the people who were shot and killed were teenagers. The other was in her 40s.

MILWAUKEE, WI — One day after a gunman shot and killed five people on Milwaukee's north side, Milwaukee police identified the five victims.
According to Milwaukee police, 14-year-old Demetrius R. Thomas, 16-year-old Tera R. Agee, 17-year-old Lakeitha M. Stokes, 19-year-old Marcus G. Stokes, and 41-year-old Teresa R. Thomas all died in the shooting.
Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales the department received a telephone call at about 10:30 a.m. that a shooting had taken place at a home near 12th Street and Hadley Street. During a Monday press conference, Morales said they have one person in custody in connection with the shooting.

According to a JSOnline report, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said that a young child was found alive in the house, and relayed that investigators believe the shooter decided to spare the infant's life.
Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II said he's mourning the loss of five community members.
"I call on the community to offer love and support to the loved ones of the victims, and to be
pillars of peace in their time of grief and despair. I call on everyone to offer understanding and
care and to lift up our community with hope during this dark hour," Milwaukee's 15th District Alderman said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities have yet to identify the shooter and he is awaiting charges while being held in the Milwaukee County Jail.
The shooting was the second mass-shooting in Milwaukee in 2020. The first came on Feb. 26 when authorities said Anthony Ferrill killed five Molson Coors employees before turning his gun on himself.
