Chance Of Snow And Showers Friday Morning In WI: Forecasters

The season's first snow could hit the Milwaukee area on Friday morning, national forecasters said.

MILWAUKEE, WI — The season's first chance of snow and showers was forecast to arrive in southeastern Wisconsin Friday, the National Weather Service reported.

Friday will have a 60 percent of precipitation, with rain and snow showers likely between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., forecasters said. Little or snow snow accumulation was expected.

The first snowflakes of the season may fall, and temperatures were expected to drop for the rest of the weekend, forecasters said.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with a high near 56. East wind 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday night/Thursday morning: A chance of showers before 1 a.m., then a slight chance of showers after 5 a.m. Cloudy with a low around 52. Southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Veterans Day: Showers mainly before noon. Temperature falling to around 46 by 5 p.m. South wind around 15 mph becoming west in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch possible.

Thursday night/Friday morning: A slight chance of rain and snow showers between midnight and 4 a.m., then a slight chance of snow showers after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a low around 37. Southwest wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Friday: A chance of snow showers before 8 a.m., then rain and snow showers likely between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., then snow showers likely after 5 p.m. Mostly cloudy with a high near 42. Breezy with a southwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Friday night: A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy with a low around 32. West wind 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny with a high near 41. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday night/Sunday morning: A slight chance of rain showers before 8 p.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m., then a chance of snow showers after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a low around 31. West wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Sunday: A chance of snow showers before 8 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., then a chance of rain showers after 10 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a high near 40. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Sunday night: A slight chance of rain showers before 7 p.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow showers between 7 p.m. and midnight, then a slight chance of snow showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy with a low around 29. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
