The 2021 edition will celebrate military service and include recipes from veterans and active-duty members, the company said. Sections will highlight the 128th Air Refueling Wing based in Milwaukee and organizations that support the armed forces.
"Veterans and active service members submitted cookie recipes that reminded them of home. They also provided stories of how the sweet treats connected them to their families and friends," Jahns said.
It is the 93rd anniversary of the first We Energies "Cookie Book." The time-honored tradition began as a way to promote electric appliances in 1928. In 2020, the company distributed the "Cookie Book" to nearly 200,000 customers, Jahns said.
