Fire Sale? Brewers Reportedly Open To Move 'Virtually Any Player'

MILWAUKEE, WI — The Milwaukee Brewers are at the beginning of a fire sale, according to the most plugged-in reporter in all of MLB.

The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported Thursday that following the loss of manager Craig Counsell to the Chicago Cubs, the Brewers are "open to moving virtually any player."

The Brewers may have already started the process by sending outfielder Mark Canha to the Detroit Tigers for a pitching prospect.

The core of their dominant pitching staff — Corbin Burnes, Brandon Woodruff, and Devin Williams — are likely targets for trades given the three are entering their "walk years," meaning their contracts are up in two years or less.
