Flurries, Clouds Break For Sun In Wisconsin Wednesday Forecast
Sunny conditions are expected in the Milwaukee area on Wednesday before chances of a wintry mix comes Thursday. Here's the latest forecast.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Snow showers and flurries could linger in southern and eastern Wisconsin on Wednesday, but the National Weather Service says mostly cloudy and gradually sunny conditions will return on Wednesday afternoon.
There's a chance of flurries before 9 a.m. on Wednesday followed by sunny conditions, and forecasters said the high temperature will be near 30. Despite the chance of clouds breaking for sun, AccuWeather says there will be a 40 percent chance of precipitation.
Still, some snowy conditions could remain in some eastern parts of the state, as a snow advisory is out for lingering snow showers Thursday and for accumulating snow near Madison and Fond du Lac Friday night.

Snow showers are expected before 9 a.m. Thursday, complimenting two consecutive days of snow on Monday and Tuesday. A chance of a wintry mix will follow between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., and the day's high temperatures will stay in the high 30s. Forecasters say there will be a 40 percent chance of precipitation.

Wednesday: A chance of flurries before 9 a.m. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 30. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 22. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph after midnight.
Thursday: A slight chance of snow showers before 9 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 37. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming north after midnight.
Friday: Rain, mainly after 3 p.m. High near 42. North wind 5 to 15 mph becoming east in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Friday Night: Rain. Low around 32. East wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Saturday: A chance of rain and snow, mainly between 10 a.m. and noon. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 37. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 27. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44.
