Giannis Antetokounmpo Now In Brewers Ownership Group

The Milwaukee Bucks player and his family are now a part of the Milwaukee Brewers ownership group.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Giannis Antetokounmpo announced Friday that he and his family are now members of the Milwaukee Brewers ownership group.

Antetokounmpo, 26, is the first investor to join the group for 17 years, principal owner Mark Attanasio said.

"Giannis, thank you for joining us as an owner," Attanasio said at a press conference. He said Giannis was a great athlete and a true local hero with international renown.

"This is unbelievable, a dream come true for a kid from Athens," Antetokounmpo said at the press conference.

Antetokounmpo said he doesn't know much about baseball, but he wanted to be the owner of a professional team and wanted to be involved in the community. "There's no better way to start than with the Milwaukee Brewers," he said.
