Gusty Winds To Kick Off Sunny Weekend In SE Wisconsin: NWS

National forecasters put a wind advisory in effect for parts of southeast Wisconsin on Saturday morning with gusts of up to 50 mph possible.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A wind advisory is in effect on Saturday morning for much of the greater Milwaukee area with gusts of up to 50 mph possible, posing a risk to trees and unsecured objects, according to the National Weather Service.

West winds around 25-35 mph are expected from 2-9 a.m. Saturday, according to the NWS hazardous outlook. Potentially impacted areas include Milwaukee and Waukesha counties and other parts of southeast and central Wisconsin.

The NWS also predicted wind gusts around 35 mph into Friday afternoon with speeds increasing into the evening.

Sunday: Sunny with a high around 39 and 10-15 mph wind. Increasing clouds into the evening with a low around 25.
