Gym Owner Opens Despite Wisconsin 'Safer At Home' Order
The gym owner could face fines and a 30-day jail term if he is found guilty of violating a local health ordinance.
LAKE GENEVA, WI — A local gym owner said he's staying open despite the state's "Safer At Home" order that requires his business to stay closed.
According to a Lake Geneva Regional News report, Project Veteran Muscle, a gym whose clients are mainly military veterans and first responders, opened for business on April 25 despite state orders that categorized the gym as nonessential.

According to the report, operator Nick Pinnt said “I really feel like we’re under the realm of essential,” he said. “I don’t think we’re violating any law at this point.”
According to local ordinances, he could face a 30-day jail term and up to a $500 fine if he is found to be guilty of "violation of law related to health."
