Heat And Humidity On The Way For SE Wisconsin, Storms Possible: NWS

By Wednesday much of southeastern Wisconsin can expect heat indices around 100, the National Weather Service forecast.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Heat and humidity could be hitting much of southeastern Wisconsin by Wednesday as forecasters also expect chances for thunderstorms throughout the week.

Heat indices around 100 are possible on Wednesday, with the National Weather Service expecting hot and humid conditions in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine Counties and beyond. There will be a chance for a few thunderstorms late Tuesday night until Wednesday morning, according to the NWS.

Monday will start out cloudy with temperatures reaching around 82 and more sun coming out. Here's the rest of your NWS forecast for this week:

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high around 81. Into the evening a slight chance for showers. 20 percent chance of precipitation.

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms likely before 11 p.m. and possibly into the evening. Partly sunny and hot with a high near 93 and temperatures feeling near 100. 60 percent chance of precipitation.

Thursday: 30 percent chance of showers in the morning but mostly sunny with a high around 76.

Friday: Sunny with a high near 79.
