Hot And Sunny Start To The Weekend, Chance Of Thunderstorms Looms: NWS

A warm start to the weekend is in store for the Milwaukee area while thunderstorms may come in on Sunday, national forecasters said.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Much of the Milwaukee area will be getting a hot and sunny start to the weekend, with temperatures into the 90s expected on Saturday, according to the latest National Weather Service forecast.

A high around 83 is expected Friday with light wind in the morning. Into the evening, temperatures could drop to 68 but skies will remain clear, according to the NWS.

By Saturday morning, we can expect sunny skies and temperatures feeling as high as 96, the NWS forecast. But into the weekend, showers and thunderstorms are possible.

Saturday evening: After 2 a.m. there's about a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms appear likely by Sunday afternoon, with mostly cloudy skies and a high around 84. The NWS said there's a 60 percent chance of rain.

Sunday evening: Showers and thunderstorms remain possible as the temperature drops to around 65. Chances of precipitation are 70 percent, with new rainfall up to one inch possible.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms are possible into the morning again with a high near 75.
