I-43 Opens After Investigation Closes
The Milwaukee County Sheriffs have posted road closures south of the Marquette Interchange for a criminal investigation.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Interstate 43 between the Marquette Interchange and West National Avenue has opened against after a Milwaukee County Sheriffs Department investigation Wednesday.
UPDATE: The expressway has fully reopened.

Traffic heading south on I-43 was diverted at the Marquette Interchange onto Interstate 94 or onto Interstate 794 at around 10 a.m., sheriffs said in a tweet.
Here are the on-ramps opened by the sheriffs department so far:

- West-to-south access from I-94 going east onto I-94 and I-43 going south is no longer blocked blocked at the Marquette Interchange.
- East-to-south access from I-794 onto I-94 and I-43 is no longer blocked at the Marquette Interchange.
- The 11th Street ramp onto the expressway is no longer closed.
- The entrance from West National Avenue onto I-94 and I-43 is no longer closed.
The next on-ramp at West Lapham Street onto I-94 and I-43 going south remains open, said sheriffs.
