Man Caught Walking From Car On I-43 Arrested For Drunken Driving
According to Sheriff's officials, a deputy stopped on I-43 to help an apparently disabled vehicle, only to find its driver walking away.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Authorities in Milwaukee County say they've arrested a man for his sixth drunken driving offense — a charge that could result in up to a ten-year sentence if he is convicted.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's office, deputies on patrol on I-43 during the early-morning hours Tuesday stopped to assist what appeared to be a disabled vehicle in the distress lane W. Rosedale Ave.
Sheriff's officials said the driver, identified as Eloy Mena, was seen walking away from his vehicle as the deputies stopped to assist.

Deputies reported seeing that Mena may have been drinking. They had Mena do field sobriety tests, and a preliminary breath test.
According to Sheriff's officials, Mena registered a .205 blood alcohol concentration on his preliminary breath test at the scene. He was arrested on suspicion of his sixth drunken driving offense.
