Strong Winds, Snow To Create Hazardous Travel Across Southern Wisconsin (patch.com) — Milwaukee-area residents are being warned about a sharp shift from rain to snow this evening, followed by powerful northwest wind gusts up to 50 mph that could make roads icy and visibility poor. The National Weather Service’s Milwaukee Airport forecast highlights hazardous travel overnight into Monday, especially north of I-94, with blowing and drifting snow and dangerous wind chills lingering into early week.
   

2. Milwaukee Police Department: 48-year-old dead after being hit by a car Friday night, suspect in custody (tmj4.com) — Milwaukee police are investigating a deadly crash after a 48-year-old pedestrian was struck by an eastbound vehicle Friday evening on the 4100 block of West Townsend Street and later died at a local hospital. MPD believes the driver was impaired, has taken a suspect into custody, and will refer charges to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
   

3. Milwaukee home invasion; 20-year-old man accused, armed with knife (fox6now.com) — A Milwaukee woman and child fled their north-side home after encountering an intruder allegedly armed with a large knife, who is accused of stealing laptops and cash. Police traced a suspect vehicle to Oak Creek, and a 20-year-old Milwaukee man now faces armed burglary and disorderly conduct charges, with another court hearing set for early January.
   

4. ‘If Chalamet can't make it cool, who can?' Milwaukee-area players embrace table tennis spotlight from new film (tmj4.com) — Milwaukee-area table tennis players packed Shorewood Intermediate School this weekend for the third annual Paul Scobey Tournament, hosted by the Milwaukee Table Tennis Club. With a new Timothée Chalamet film spotlighting competitive table tennis, local players hope the buzz brings more Milwaukee residents of all ages into the sport and honors longtime volunteer Paul Scobey’s legacy.
   

5. Man arrested after car crash following domestic dispute Friday in parking lot near River Club of Mequon (tmj4.com) — Two Milwaukee residents were involved in a domestic dispute that led to a car fleeing a Mequon parking lot near the River Club and crashing, with a witness reporting possible gunshots. Mequon police later arrested the 32-year-old Milwaukee man on multiple charges, including OWI and reckless driving, and confirmed the 39-year-old Milwaukee woman was safe and uninjured. The investigation remains ongoing.
