Man Crashes Into Pole After Police Chase, Dies: Police
Milwaukee police said they tried pulling a man over early Tuesday for speeding but he drove off, crashed and died.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A man crashed into a pole near 32nd Street and Glendale Avenue Tuesday morning after a police chase and died, according to police.
Police said they tried to pull the man over in the 2700 block of Atkinson Avenue for speeding just before 1:15 a.m. Police ended the chase, but the vehicle continued until it crashed into the pole, police said.
The 28-year-old man who was driving the car got out and ran about a block away until he collapsed from his injuries, police said. A witness told police about the man and called first responders who came to provide medical attention, according to police.

But the man died from his injuries from the crash, police said. Officers recovered a gun and possible narcotics in the speeding car after the crash, police said.
