Man Dies From Injuries After Wheel Fell Off Car And Hit Him: Police

MILWAUKEE, WI — The man who was hit by a wheel that detached from a passing vehicle in Milwaukee on Thursday has died, police said on Wednesday.

The rogue wheel hit the 80-year-old pedestrian in the 200 block of south 84th Street just after 9 a.m. that day, police said. The West Allis man suffered severe injuries and was brought to a hospital, police said, but has since died.

Police offered condolences to the man's family in Wednesday's update.

Nobody else was injured in the event, police said.
