The health department has been working with the Bucks organization and Fiserv Forum since last year on COVID-19 safety protocols and mitigation measures, health director Kirsten Johnson told Wisconsin Public Radio. The two organizations had conversations about incentivizing vaccinations even as Fiserv opened up for the season, she added.
Milwaukee's adult vaccination rate sits just under 50 percent, according to health department statistics. There has been a 3.1 percent positive test rating and 25.9 cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 people over the past seven days, according to health department statistics.

The past vaccine raffles for game tickets have been "somewhat successful," with between 17 and 35 people getting vaccinated prior to games, Johnson told WPR.
"So, it's pretty good odds, and they're usually really good tickets," Johnson told WPR.
