Milwaukee Police: Store Employee Attacked By Suspected Thief
Milwaukee police are asking the public's help in identifying a woman who stole merchandise from a store and then attacked a store worker.

MILWAUKEE, WI—The Milwaukee Police Department is asking the public’s help in identifying a woman who stole merchandise from a store and then attacked a store employee who attempted to stop her.
According to police, the crime occurred Friday around 12:34 a.m. along the 2900 block of N. Oakland Avenue.
Police said the suspect is described as an African-American woman, 40-50 years of age with a medium afro and medium build.

She was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt that had a white collar and sleeve ends, red leggings, a gray sweatshirt tied around her waist and black shoes.
Video shows the suspect viewing items along a cosmetics aisle and placing some of them in a grey basket. After exiting the store with the stolen items in the basket, police said the suspect was confronted by an employee.

"The suspect used force against the employee and fled with the stolen property," police said in an online statement.
