2. Five months later, cleanup for August's historic flooding continues (wisn.com) — Months after August’s historic flooding, many homes on Milwaukee’s northwest side are still gutted and waiting to be rebuilt. Volunteer crews from Team Rubicon are back this week, tearing out damaged materials at no cost so contractors can finally start repairs. Their goal is to finish work at 30 homes by Saturday, focusing on families who reported damage through 211.

3. Two killed in separate Milwaukee shootings Tuesday (tmj4.com) — Two men were killed in separate Milwaukee shootings Tuesday, one on North 84th Street and another on North 38th Street. Police are still investigating both cases and have not named suspects, urging anyone with information to contact Milwaukee police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

4. Milwaukee family demands answers after autistic child goes missing from school (wisn.com) — A Milwaukee grandmother is demanding stronger safety measures at Grantosa Drive School after her 6-year-old autistic, nonverbal grandson wandered away from campus and was missing for about 45 minutes before being found safe on Appleton Avenue. Milwaukee police were contacted, a couple brought the child to a station, and the school says it is reviewing procedures while the family seeks a new placement.

5. TMJ4, Milwaukee school transform book fair into free reading celebration (tmj4.com) — Students at Dr. George Washington Carver Academy in Milwaukee each got to pick five free books, turning a typical book fair into a no-cost reading celebration.
