More Snow, Rain Chances In Wisconsin Weekend Forecast

Rain with a chance of snow showers are expected. Here's the latest forecast.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Wintry weather could hit Wisconsin with a chance of rain and snow on Friday morning, and a new forecast from the National Weather Service calls for partial sunshine after the rainy and snowy mix.

Wet weather conditions are expected after 2 a.m. on Friday, with forecasters giving the likelihood of precipitation at 40 percent. Temperatures this weekend will be in the high 30s and low 40s.

The chances of snow will pop in again late Saturday night, Sunday morning and into next week, forecasters said. Colder conditions will set in Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures in the high 20s.

The snow will have trouble accumulating on southeast Wisconsin roads at the start of the weekend, as Accuweather says the high temperature Friday will be 41 degrees.

However, the wintry mix statewide may pose slippery travel conditions for folks in central and northern Wisconsin. A hazardous weather outlook was sent out by national forecasters for north-central and northern Wisconsin for slippery road conditions and freezing drizzle.

The following is a forecast in the Milwaukee area for the rest of the weekend.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 50. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Tonight: A chance of rain and snow, mainly after 2 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a low around 33. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Friday: A chance of rain and snow before 10 a.m., then a chance of rain between 10am and noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 29. Northwest wind around 10 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 38. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night: A slight chance of rain and snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Sunday: Rain and snow likely, becoming all rain after 7 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 45. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunday Night: A slight chance of rain before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., then a slight chance of snow after 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Blustery, with a west wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
