WISCONSIN — At least 70 percent of students at 12 of 13 University of Wisconsin schools are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with University of Wisconsin - Superior the latest to reach its goal, the school system announced Thursday.

The school reached its '70 for 70' campaign goal, where colleges try to reach 70 percent student vaccinations for scholarships. The school system offered scholarships up to $7,000 to students who report their vaccination status if their school reached the threshold before Sunday.

“I always knew the students at [Superior] would meet our vaccination goal. They know how important it is to maintain the health of their community,” System President Tommy Thompson said in a statement. Thompson has visited system schools since September.
