MILWAUKEE, WI — National Cheese Curd Day is Friday. Here's a list of Milwaukee-area businesses with delicious cheese curds and deals.
- Lakefront Brewery Beer Hall, 1872 N. Commerce St., Milwaukee. The brewery will have an exclusive cheese curd menu available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., serving rare, squeaky delicacies such as churro-flavored and bloody-mary-battered cheese curds.
- Clock Shadow Creamery, 138 W. Bruce St., Milwaukee. The urban cheese factory makes fresh cow and goat curds. The creamery won't host factory tours because of the COVID-19 pandemic, its website said. Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
- Black Sheep MKE, 216 S. Second St. Milwaukee. Black Sheep's pancake-battered cheese curds were on the top of Curd Queen Tara Rushmer's list in 2020, the business said in a Facebook post. Open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
- Culver's has multiple locations from Wisconsin to Colorado. Aside from serving the "Curderburger," a hamburger with a massive cheese curd over the patty, tomorrow, the franchise will also host a sweepstakes. People can enter the sweepstakes online until Oct. 31 for prizes such as a year of free cheese curds and curd-related merchandise.
- The Wisconsin Cheese Mart, 1048 N. Old World Third St., Milwaukee. The mart sells cheese curds by the pound, including white and yellow cheddar. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday to Monday.
- The Vanguard, 2659 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., Milwaukee. This hideaway sausage restaurant also has a decent selection of cheese curds and poutine. The business is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday to Tuesday, and 5 p.m. to 12 a.m., Wednesday to Saturday.
