Obviously Phony Chinese $10 Bills Circulating In Wisconsin
According to one report, the currency comes from China, where it is printed so bank clerks can train using American money.

KEWASKUM, WI β Ten dollar bills bearing Chinese pictographic characters were circulated in a Wisconsin gas station and authorities are trying to figure out who had them.
On Dec. 21, the Kewaskum police department took a complaint from a woman who attempted to pass a fake $10 bill at a local gas station.
Police said the bill has red and white Chinese pictographic characters printed on it. The serial number is LGQ03229158.

According to one report, the currency comes from China, where it is printed so that Chinese bank clerks can learn how to tell real American currency from fake ones. According to a Mount Airy News report, some of the characters translated in English read: βpractice token."
Police say they believe the same woman managed pass one these phony bills a few days later.

Police in Kewaskum say the bills were passed at the Kohn's Korner Mart Gas Station on Dec. 21 at just after 6 a.m.
