Police Accuse Woman In Robberies At Milwaukee, Tosa Walgreen's
A woman was charged after an Aug. 1 attempted robbery in Milwaukee and is a suspect in a robbery the same day in Tosa, a complaint said.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A woman was charged recently in connection with an Aug. 1 attempted armed robbery at a Walgreen's in Milwaukee and is slated as a suspect in a similar robbery that happened about a half-hour later in Wauwatosa, according to a criminal complaint.
Ahtyana Asia Williams, 29, of Milwaukee, is facing a charge of attempted armed robbery in connection with an attempted robbery on Capitol Drive plus two felony counts of bail jumping, according to a criminal complaint filed Aug. 9. If convicted, the robbery charge could bring up to 20 years in prison.
Williams has not been charged in connection with the Aug. 1 armed robbery at a Wauwatosa Walgreens on Mayfair Road, but in the complaint, police identify her as the same suspect in the Capitol Drive robbery.

It was about 4 a.m. on Aug. 1 that the attempted robbery occurred, the cashier from the 7600 W. Capitol Drive Walgreen's store told police, the complaint said. The woman tried purchasing Newport King cigarettes and soon pulled a gun on the cashier and demanded money, but the cashier refused and the woman left, according to the criminal complaint.
Then around 4:40 a.m. less than an hour after the attempted robbery in Milwaukee, police were called out to the Walgreens at 2275 N. Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa, according to the complaint. The store cashier told police a woman demanded the money in the register and lifted up her shirt to display a gun, the complaint said.

The cashier gave the woman money from the register, plus Newport cigarettes that the woman had asked for, and the woman left, according to the complaint.
Police said the cashier from the first Walgreens identified Williams in a photo array as the person who tried to rob the 7600 Capitol Drive Walgreens, the complaint said. A detective then reviewed images of the suspect from both robberies and believed both to be Williams, according to the complaint.
