Ohio Cop Kills Man Blocks From RNC In Milwaukee: Reports
An on-duty officer in town for the Republican National Convention killed a person blocks from the events, according to multiple reports.
MILWAUKEE — A Columbus, Ohio police officer shot and killed a man blocks away from the Republican National Convention security zone in downtown Milwaukee on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
The shooting occurred near North 14th and West Vliet Streets, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Five police officers in town from Columbus fired their weapons, a source told Fox News. The man killed was reportedly from a nearby homeless encampment.

The shooting does not appear to be connected to the RNC.
Police from outside Wisconsin are in town helping Milwaukee provide security for the RNC this week. All officers are required to follow the Milwaukee Police Department's standard on the use of force.
