Quintuple Shooting At Homicide Victim's Vigil
Five people were shot at a candlelight vigil Monday for a 16-year-old homicide victim.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Five people are being treated for gunshot wounds after someone opened fire at a candlelight vigil Monday.
The quintuple shooting happened at the intersection of West Burleigh Street and North Sherman Boulevard at around 7:30 p.m., the Milwaukee Police Department said.
Two 15-year-old Milwaukee girls, a 64-year-old Milwaukee man, a 30-year-old Milwaukee man and a 35-year-old Milwaukee man were injured and were taken to local hospitals, police said. Their condition was not known. None of the victims was identified.

The candlelight vigil was for Rydell Ards-King, 16, who killed in a shooting just after midnight Monday at the same location, CBS 58 reported.
No suspects have been identified in the shootings.

"This is wholly unacceptable and as a community we must do better to put an end to these senseless shootings," Milwaukee Alderman Khalif Rainey said in a statement. "Guns are never the answer to solve disputes, and our children, friends, family members and neighbors deserve better than to fear gun violence during a moment of grieving and sadness — or at any other point and time."
