Rain And Snow Mix Expected Monday Afternoon

Chances of rain and snow return in southeast Wisconsin for Monday and Wednesday, forecasters say.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Light snow is expected for southeast, south central and east central Wisconsin on Wednesday, forecasters for the National Weather Service said.

A hazardous weather outlook warned that less than an inch of snow could gather primarily across east-central Wisconsin, forecasters said. Cities like Sheboygan, Fond du Lac and Port Washington would be affected.

A rainy, snowy mix is expected before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, followed by a chance of rain, forecasters said. The Milwaukee area has a 30 percent chance of precipitation that day.

The chances of snow is expected to return to southeast Wisconsin before 9 a.m. on Wednesday, forecasters said. A mix of rain and snow is expected from 9-11 a.m., with chances of rain showers following after 11 a.m.

Today: A slight chance of rain and snow before 2 p.m., then a chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Tonight: A slight chance of rain and snow before 8 p.m., then a chance of sprinkles and flurries between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 40. West wind 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.

Wednesday: A chance of snow showers before 9 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., then a chance of rain showers after 11 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 47. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Wednesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers before 7 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. Southwest wind around 15 mph.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 48. West wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
