'Random And Shocking' Milwaukee Alderman Says After Home Hit By Bullet
A seemingly stray bullet broke through the wall of Milwaukee Alderman Bob Bauman's house on Sunday, he announced Tuesday.
MILWAUKEE, WI — A Milwaukee alderman says his home now has a bullet lodged inside a wall after the deadly projectile pierced into his home on Sunday afternoon.
Alderman Bob Bauman, who represents the 4th District comprising downtown and much of the near west side area, said someone fired shots from a vehicle driving down Kilbourn Avenue and 29th Street.
One bullet got into his house and made it through three plaster walls, Bauman announced in a statement Tuesday. The bullet now "serves as a reminder of a random and shocking incident that has brought our city’s gun violence epidemic quite literally inside a normally safe haven that I share with my wife and two pets," Bauman said.
