Red Cross Cooling Center Open In Milwaukee Thursday

The American Red Cross is opening a cooling center as power outages and excessive heat lingers in the city.

MILWAUKEE, WI — The American Red Cross is opening two cooling centers in Milwaukee Tuesday after storms Tuesday and Wednesday night left thousands of residents without electricity.

Power, water and snacks will be available to for people who need to escape the heat, the Red Cross said.

The Milwaukee cooling center is located at the Southside Church of Christ, 1933 W. Grange Ave. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
