Snow, Freezing Rain Expected In WI Thursday
Snow followed by light freezing drizzle is expected Thursday and wet conditions will continue over the weekend.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Rain and snow showers are expected in southeast Wisconsin Thursday afternoon, while the National Weather Service said precipitation could spread into Friday and Saturday.
There's a chance of rain and snow showers before 4 p.m. Thursday and forecasters said freezing rain showers are expected between 4-5 p.m. Flurries are expected to make an appearance after 5 p.m. The high temperature will be in the high 30s and chance of precipitation will be 50 percent.
Forecasters said Thursday's snow accumulation will be light, possibly up to an inch north of Madison and Milwaukee, while ice is possible inland from Lake Michigan.

Friday is expected to have showers before 4 p.m., but will be warmer with a high temperature of 41. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent and winds could get as high as 30 mph.
Rainy conditions could freeze into the weekend, as forecasters said there's a chance of rain showers mixed with snow before 8 a.m. on Saturday. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent and wind gusts could reach 35 mph.

Thursday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 4 p.m., then a slight chance of rain showers between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., then a chance of sprinkles and flurries after 5 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 36. Breezy, with a southeast wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest after midnight.
Friday: Showers likely, mainly after 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 41. North wind 5 to 15 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Friday Night: Showers before 9 p.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m., then showers after 3 a.m. Low around 31. Breezy, with a south wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Saturday: A chance of rain showers, mixing with snow after 8 a.m., then gradually ending. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 39. Windy, with a west wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 27. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 45. Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 20 mph.
