Snow, High Wind Gusts Expected: WI Weekend Forecast

Rain and snow are likely this weekend and into next week, forecasters say. Here's the latest forecast.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A mix of snow, rain and wind could hit Wisconsin on Sunday morning, and the National Weather Service says snowy and windy conditions could continue into Tuesday.

Rain and snow are expected before 8 a.m. on Sunday, with forecasters saying that it could all turn to change to rain with a 90 percent chance of precipitation. Snow up to half an inch could accumulate and the temperature will be in the low 40s.

A 30 percent chance of light accumulating snowfall is expected Tuesday, and temperatures will hover in the high 20s. Gusts as high as 30 mph coming from the northwest will stretch from Sunday to Monday night.

There's a 62 percent chance of precipitation on Tuesday, AccuWeather said, and 98 percent cloud cover to accompany snowflakes.

Thursday will also have a chance of rain and snow, forecasters said, with temperatures in the high 30s and a 30 percent chance of precipitation.

Monday Afternoon: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Calm wind.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 38. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. Light and variable wind becoming southeast 10 to 15 mph after midnight.

Sunday: Rain and snow likely before 8 a.m., then rain. High near 43. Breezy, with a southeast wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Sunday Night: A 30 percent chance of rain before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Windy, with a west wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of snow before noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 33. Windy, with a west wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 12. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 26.

Tuesday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 33.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24.

Thursday: A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
