Snow Possible In Southeast Wisconsin As Weekend Approaches

National forecasters predict a chance of rain and snow at the end of the week as temperatures drop.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Rain and snow is expected in southeastern Wisconsin, starting Thursday night and into Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures are expected to drop into the high 20s as the weekend approaches, increasing the likeliness of snow.

Temperatures will drop on Veterans Day, and continue to fall Friday and Saturday, forecasters said.

Today: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 56. Northeast wind around 10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 36. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 56. North wind 5 to 15 mph becoming southeast in the morning.

Wednesday Night: Showers likely after 7 p.m. Cloudy, with a low around 48. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Veterans Day: Showers, mainly before 1 p.m. High near 55. South wind around 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: A chance of rain and snow showers before 4 a.m., then a slight chance of rain showers between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow showers after 5 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 35. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Friday: A chance of rain and snow showers, mainly after 7 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Friday Night: A chance of rain and snow showers before 7 p.m., then a chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. West wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Saturday: A chance of snow showers before 11 a.m., then a chance of sprinkles and flurries between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow showers after 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 41. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Saturday Night: A 50 percent chance of snow showers, mainly after 7 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29.
