Residents should prepare for a chilly Friday night with wind chills near 0 degrees, followed by snow starting Saturday.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Wisconsinites should brace for cold weather Friday night as wind chills fall near 0 degrees. Snow is expected to start Saturday afternoon in the southeast part of the state.
The snow continues into Saturday night.
"Growing confidence to see accumulating snow Saturday and Saturday night with the highest totals toward central Wisconsin," the National Weather Service said.

"However, we are still a few days out, so the track may change, affecting snow fall totals. Monitor the forecast over the coming days, especially if you have plans this weekend."
Milwaukee could see around 5 inches of snow, with higher totals possible in areas to the north.

Today: Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 36. Windy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 25 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 13. Wind chill values between zero and 10. Windy, with a northwest wind 25 to 30 mph decreasing to 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 28. Wind chill values between zero and 10. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. West wind around 5 mph becoming northeast after midnight.
Saturday: Snow, mainly after noon. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 31. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Saturday Night: Snow likely before midnight. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 15. Northeast wind around 10 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
