UW-La Crosse Cancels Week Of Classes Over Coronavirus Concerns

Citing coronavirus concerns, UW-La Crosse officials canceled a week of post-spring break classes, and set up weeks of online instruction.

LA CROSSE, WI — Just hours after UW-Madison announced they're canceling in-person classes on campus out of coronavirus concerns, UW-La Crosse became the second university in Wisconsin to announce major changes to their academic calendar.

"All UWL classes will be cancelled the week after spring break, March 23-27," UW-La Crosse officials said Wednesday afternoon. "Subsequently, all classes will be held in online formats through Friday, April 10. Any exceptions will be communicated to students in the affected courses."

University officials also canceled all university-related out-of-state travel until Monday, April 13. All in-state travel is allowed, university officials said Wednesday.
