MacBook Air, Sports Tickets Offered To Vaxxed UWM Students
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee offers the chance to win prizes if they get vaccinated against COVID-19.

MILWAUKEE, WI — The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has launched a program to offer incentives for students to get vaccinated.
University students will be eligible to win MacBook Air laptops, tickets to sports games and restaurant gift cards when they get their shot, the university said.
Under the "It’s Worth a Shot!" program, students also will have a chance to walk away with free UWM-branded merchandise at a series of in school vaccination clinics that start Tuesday, the university said.

Here's a list of vaccination clinics UWM has planned:
- Tuesday: 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Student Union Ballroom
- Aug. 24: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Student Union Wisconsin Room East
- Sept. 1: 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. Pop-up on main campus
- Sept. 2: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Pop-up on main campus
- Sept. 7: 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Cambridge Commons and Kenilworth Housing
University of Wisconsin System President Tommy Thompson announced the "70 for 70" campaign July 25 to give UW students a chance to win a $7,000 scholarship for attending a campus with at least a 70 percent vaccination rate, the school system said in a statement.

The University of Wisconsin and University of Alabama are two of the latest school systems to announce incentives for student vaccinations, Forbes reported.
