National forecasters predict a sunny weekend ahead for southeast Wisconsin. Here are some ways to get out and enjoy the weather.
WISCONSIN — After a snowy start to the week the greater Milwaukee area can expect sunny skies to last through the weekend with highs in the 70s possible until Monday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
The balmy weekend temps are expected after much of southeast Wisconsin started out its week with a freeze warning. Mostly sunny skies are expected to last until the weekend ends, then showers may become possible into next week, according to the NWS.
The sunny skies and warm temperatures may present the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors as southeast Wisconsin transitions into fall. Here are some ideas:

Sunday: A high near 72 and mostly sunny, windy. Into the evening a chance of showers and thunderstorms, a low around 59.
Monday: A 40 percent chance of showers with a high near 72.
