MILWAUKEE, WI — A woman from West Allis was sentenced to prison on Oct. 6 after she was charged with neglecting a child until death, according to online court records.

Tasha Rockow was also charged with physical abuse of a child and second-degree reckless homicide in connection with the death of her 6-year-old son. By August, she pleaded guilty to all three charges. A fourth charge of false imprisonment was dropped.

Altogether, the court sentenced Rockow to 45 years in Wisconsin State Prison — representing the maximum possible prison term for all three charges, online records said. Rockow could be eligible for extended supervision down the line and she did receive credit for time already served.
