Wisconsin Weather: Strong Winds, Thunderstorms Wednesday Night
The National Weather Service says that southern Wisconsin has an 80 percent chance of rainfall, accompanied by the chance of severe storms.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Thunderstorms with the risk of damaging winds are expected to arrive over southeast Wisconsin Wednesday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, Kenosha, Dane and Ozaukee counties. The main risks are severe thunderstorms and strong winds.
Large hail and a tornado is possible as well, according to the weather service. Temperatures will be in the middle to upper 90s Wednesday, especially southwest of Madison, it added.

In its short range forecast, the weather service writes there is a chance of high heat and calm weather in the area for the rest of the week.
The bulk of the storms are expected Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. On Thursday, there's a 10 percent chance of thunderstorms and precipitation, the NWS said.

Here's a detailed weather forecast for the next three days from the National Weather Service:
Today: A 10 percent chance of showers after 5 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.
Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 4 a.m. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall. Low around 72. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between 2 and 3 inches possible.
Thursday: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 a.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. North wind 10 to 15 mph.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. Northeast wind around 10 mph.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Northeast wind around 10 mph.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
