Woman Stabbed Mother In Head On Christmas; Is Charged: Report
According to investigators, Sylvia E. Kimble had been arguing with family in the home during the course of the day.

MILWAUKEE, WI β Authorities in Milwaukee say a 24-year-old woman has been arrested and charged after she stabbed her mother in the head with a 7-inch rainbow knife - a multi-color knife used for a variety of applications.
According to a criminal complaint filed Friday in Milwaukee County, Sylvia E. Kimble now faces felony charges of substantial battery and second-degree recklessly endangering safety - use of a dangerous weapon.
She's currently being held in the Milwaukee County Jail. She made her initial appearance in court on Dec. 27.

Investigators say Milwaukee Police officers were called to a home in the 10400 block of W. Tower Ave. in Milwaukee on Christmas night on a report of a fight.
According to investigators, Kimble had been arguing with family in the home during the course of the day. At one point, Kimble's mother said, Kimble tried to hit her sister by punching her, only to miss. Kimble then picked up a vase, but her sister was able to take it away.

According to the criminal complaint, it wasn't too much later before Kimble ran into the kitchen and grabbed a 7-inch rainbow knife. Authorities say Kimble ran at her mother and stabbed her in the top of her head. Kimble then lunged at her sister, but her sister jumped out of the way.
Investigators say Kimble ran out of the house, though she was later tracked down by authorities and taken into custody.
Authorities say Kimble's mother was taken to the hospital where she received six staples to close the stab wound on the top of her head. Hosptial staff told her she suffered a skull fracture as a result of the stabbing. The laceration was about an inch-and-a-half long, police said.
