According to the criminal complaint, the driver of the party bus rushed Sandifer to St. Joseph's hospital, however she did not survive. Doctors were able to deliver her baby via an emergency cesarean section. Authorities say the emergency delivery was successful, and the baby was in stable condition.
Authorities say witnesses said Haywood appeared to be drunk and had thrown a glass bottle in the parking lot before the fatal shooting.
According to police, Haywood fled the scene of the shooting, but was tracked down after a routine traffic stop on Feb. 6. Authorities say they identified Haywood as the shooter based on ID scans at the restaurant and vehicle license plates at the scene the night of the shooting.
Investigators say Haywood's girlfriend attempted to hide evidence of the shooting, by storing the gun's bullets and magazine in common household items.
