City Plots Grand Opening Date For New Activity And Recreation Center

A grand opening and ribbon cutting has been planned for the New Berlin Activity and Recreation Center, a news release from the city says.

NEW BERLIN, WI — The grand opening and ribbon cutting date for New Berlin's new Activity and Recreation Center has been set for June, the city announced Tuesday in a news release.

The A.R.C., located at 15321 National Avenue, will have a grand opening event on June 4 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., the city said. The official ribbon cutting of the new activity center will take place at noon.

The New Berlin Recreation Department plans on hosting activities and programs alongside the opening event, with some requiring registration ahead of time. Food trucks will be joining the event, as well as a beer garden hosted by City Lights Brewing Co., the city's news release says.

The A.R.C.'s opening is set to provide a new environment for community recreation. An indoor playground, a dance studio, kitchen, and numerous other multi-purpose spaces are planned for the new center.

The programs come from New Berlin's Recreation Department, which offers many programs and events each year, ranging from summer camps to ballroom dance classes and more, according to the city's news release.
