Free Admission Set For New Berlin Area Parks Thanksgiving Week

Waukesha County said it will waive the fees for several parks near New Berlin and around the County the week of this upcoming Thanksgiving.

NEW BERLIN, WI — Several parks around New Berlin in Waukesha County that typically have entrance fees will be free to use this upcoming Thanksgiving, according to an announcement from the county.

Nine parks will be free to access and use from Nov. 22-28. Waukesha County 2022 park entrance stickers will go on sale on Nov. 26.

This will be the second year in a row that Waukesha County Parks are waiving admission fees during Thanksgiving. Typically, daily admission fees run at $6, according to the county parks website.

In a news release about last year's free park week, County Executive Paul Farrow said "Thanksgiving weekend is a great time to get outdoors and get active with your family, friends and even pets. Our park system offers the perfect places to explore nature and enjoy fun and healthy activities."
