How New Berlin Stacks Up In Niche's 2022 Best Places To Live
Niche released rankings for the best places to live in America. Here's how New Berlin compares.

NEW BERLIN, WI — New Berlin was ranked the 56th best place to live in Wisconsin in a 2022 study released by Niche on Monday. Nationally, New Berlin came in at No. 3,775 for the best places to live.
Niche gave New Berlin an "A" in its overall grade. Niche says it ranked over 18,000 towns and 220 cities across the nation for its 2022 study.
The company said it used data from the U.S. Census, FBI and CDC, among other sources, to rank communities on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities and local amenities. The company said it also includes neighbor reviews to create its rankings.

The 56th place ranking is compared to 408 other cities and towns in the state.
Here's how New Berlin scored in each section of Niche's study:

- Public schools: A
- Housing: B+
- Good for families: A
- Crime and safety: B-
- Nightlife: B
- Diversity: B-
Nationally, Niche's 2022 ranking found Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania, was the best place to live.
In Wisconsin, the top three communities to live in, according to Niche, were Whitefish Bay, Elm Grove and Kohler.
