NEW BERLIN, WI — The $3 million winning lottery ticket that was sold at a New Berlin gas station earlier on Aug. 31 has been claimed, the Wisconsin Lottery announced Tuesday.

David Larsen presented the winning ticket on Sept. 23, making him the winner of the largest Wisconsin Lottery payout this year. The Quick Pick BP Food/Naila Inc gas station where the ticket was sold will receive $60,000, according to a news release from the Wisconsin Lottery.

New Berlin's history with lottery wins is lengthy. The city was where one of the largest lottery wins in American history took place—In 2019, Manuel Franco of West Allis won $784.4 million from a Speedway on Beloit Road.
