Man Dies After Medical Emergency At Malone Park
The 27-year-old man died Thursday at Froedtert in Wauwatosa. The New Berlin Fire Department thanked bystanders for their efforts.

NEW BERLIN, WI — A 27-year-old man died Thursday after he had a medical emergency in Malone Park, during which he became pulseless and stopped breathing, according to a news release from the New Berlin Fire Department.
The Fire Department was called out around 6:29 p.m. for a medical emergency at the parks basketball courts, located at 16400 Al Stigler Parkway. The man was not breathing effectively, and paramedics were on the scene in about a minute, the news release says.
Paramedics took over CPR from bystanders when they arrived and attempts to revive the man continued as he was brought to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, the news release says. Despite the efforts of bystanders and efforts by paramedics and hospital staff, the man died in the emergency room, the fire department said.

"The City of New Berlin Fire Department would like to thank all bystanders for their efforts," the news release says. "NBFD would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of this young man. Our prayers go out to all of them."
Authorities did not immediately release identifying information or a cause of death.
