Pursuits End With Spike Strips + Mail Fraud Report: New Berlin PD Logs

Here's a look back at noteworthy crime logs publicly reported by the New Berlin Police Department from April 22-Friday.

NEW BERLIN, WI — A business located in the 17900 block of Lincoln Avenue told police on Thursday that a check they placed in the mail in early March was fraudulently cashed, according to the latest logs publicly reported by the New Berlin Police Department.

Here's a look back at other noteworthy logs between April 22 and Friday:

  • Tools were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 14700 block of Honey Lane, a resident told police Thursday morning, logs said.
  • New Berlin police helped to stop a stolen vehicle early Thursday morning that West Allis police were chasing, logs say. The vehicle crashed near Calhoun Road and Greenfield Avenue and all people inside were taken into custody, logs said.
  • Milwaukee Police Department was chasing a vehicle on Interstate 43 around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday and New Berlin police were helping. Officers used stop sticks on the vehicle on I-43 near Calhoun Road, logs said.
  • Western Contractors, Inc., told police a trailer was stolen from the company's New Berlin property in the 18000 block of Lincoln Avenue at some point between February and March, logs said.
  • Someone told police that when she was trying to buy drugs from a dealer at a gas station in the 16400 block of Greenfield Avenue around 9:20 p.m. on April 22, the dealer pointed a gun at her, logs said.
