Stolen Vehicle Crashes In New Berlin, Juvenile Arrested: Police

A stolen vehicle crashed near Racine Avenue and Coffee Road in New Berlin Monday after a Hales Corners pursuit, police said.

NEW BERLIN, WI — A stolen vehicle crashed in New Berlin near Racine Avenue and Coffee Road Monday afternoon and a juvenile suspect was arrested hours after the crash, according to a statement from the New Berlin Police Department.

Hales Corners police pursued the vehicle into New Berlin around 6:15 p.m. The car crashed and the suspect ran away, police said. Residents in the immediate area received a wireless emergency alert as the situation unfolded, according to police in a Facebook statement.

Hours after the crash, around 1 a.m. on Tuesday, an officer spotted the suspect near Woodland Drive and Woodland Court, police said.

Officers arrested the juvenile boy and turned him over to Hales Corners police, according to New Berlin police.
