$12K in Losses After Construction Site Burglary

Someone kicked in the door of an under-construction home on E. Forest Hill Avenue and stole $10,000 worth of copper pipe and electrical wire.

In addition, construction materials valued at about $1,800 and an $800 generator were stolen from the garage, according to an Oak Creek police report.

The theft happened sometime between 3 p.m. Sept. 30 and 5:15 p.m. Saturday. A police canine was brought in to search an open field behind the house but did not find any evidence. Officers also checked with neighbors, with negative results.

Police did not have any suspects.
