2 Catalytic Converters Stolen In Oak Creek: Report
Police in Oak Creek say two catalytic converters were stolen from cars last week.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say two catalytic converters were stolen from cars last week. It's not known whether the two cases are related.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, a 25-year-old Oak Creek woman walked into the police station at just before 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 15 to report that the catalytic converter had been stolen off her car.
According to police, the theft happened some time between 12:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 11 at the Timber Ridge Apartments. The woman told police it would cost more than $1,700 to fix her car.

Police also took a report of a catalytic converter theft on Jan. 13 from the Timber Ridge Apartment Complex. In that report, a woman contacted police, saying she had to loan a vehicle from Lou's Auto Body Shop. When she returned the vehicle, she found that the vehicle's exhaust was loud. She took the car back to the body shop that day, only to learn that the catalytic converter had been cut off the car's exhaust system.
Police told her to contact her insurance company if the body shop sends her a bill for the lost catalytic converter.
