Comedian Mike Marvell To Perform At 'Adult Night Comedy Night'

Wisconsin comedian Mike Marvell will lead Adult Night Comedy Night on July 23. The event will benefit Oak Creek Youth Football.

OAK CREEK, WI — Wisconsin comedian Mike Marvell will headline an Oak Creek Youth Football (OCYF) fundraiser on July 23.

The event, Adult Night Comedy Night, is only open to those 21 or older and will feature the longstanding comedian, drinks, raffles and more, according to a Facebook post from OCYF.

Mike Marvell describes himself on his website as "the guy you'll want to have a beer with." Some may know him as "Gutpile," or "The Couch Commander," Marvell's website says, but others may simply know him as Mike Marvell.

Marvell travels across the country to put on his shows. He tells jokes and stories about his family and life in Wisconsin, his website says. Having been married for thirty years with three kids, Marvell offers material that everyone can relate to, Marvell said on his website.

"When Mike hits the stage, it’s like you’ve known him forever. He’s the guy next door, that crazy cousin, or your brother-in-law (the one you like)," Marvell said on his website.

Marvell will be the headline act for the upcoming Oak Creek Youth Football benefit night. Alongside the laughs from Marvell, the event's Facebook page says that there will be a booze basket raffle, a 50/50 raffle, appetizers and cash bar.

"Happy drinkers only," the OCYF event post said.

The comedy night will open its doors at 5:30 p.m. at American Legion Post 434 located at 9327 Shepard Avenue in Oak Creek.

From 6-7 p.m., representatives from Xenith and Schutt Sports will put on a question & answer session for questions about helmet technology and safety, the event post said.

Both companies are helmet manufacturers. Physicians Urgent Care of South Milwaukee, a sponsor of OCYF, will also join the Q&A to answer questions about helmet safety.

Mike Marvell will take the stage at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available online. Register ahead for a $25 ticket or pay $20 at the door.
